well its good 2 see the remake is not made by other crappy directors. i watch it already. i gotta say its so bloody good 4 the hollywood remake standard. maybe the directors think of giving hollywood directing a try. it doesn’t disappoint me yet so far after watching. this my 2 cents though.

this movie is damm good but i gotta say the hollywood flavour of this remake wasn’t really that bad compare with other typical hollywood remake. BD hollywood flavour is the best remake of the year so far in my books.

Its pretty surprising because the remake was made by the original directors the pang brothers.

At the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, the Pang Brothers announced they would remake Bangkok Dangerous with Nicolas Cage in the lead role, though Cage’s character would not be a deaf. Taken right off a movie website it’s a remake not a “part two”. It’s crap is what it is the original is awesome. America rips off everything from other countries.

Arg damn it! I should have known the American version was a remake of an Asian film! Now I got to see this one, since the original ones are usually better then the stupid english re-makes! Gar! woot for the thailand version!

“Bangkok dangerous” in thailand version? what a stupid movie. really boring. how poor to pang’s brothers (oxide & danny pang) who directed this movie. They usually made a good movie. but they really failed in this one.

What are u talking about? How do u say it’s not a thai film. Are you dumb? This movie is a Thai project invested by Thai company.Everyone in the movie is Thai including the teamwork, except only the 2 directors hired by Thai producers.Everyone in the movie speaks Thai. The plot happens in Thailand and it’s a movie for thai people. So what is not Thai about it?By the way,I am Thai so I know it is absolutely a thai movie. If u are NOT Thai and u dont know anything about Thai DON’T say it is not Thai.

This isn’t really even a Thai film. The directors are from HONG KONG! It’s just like a cheap JOHN WOO ripoff!!! The whole mute-deaf thing is like the blind girl in THE KILLER. HORRIBLE!!!

Thats actually the Sequel with Nicolas Cage but it’s ovbious that they were afraid to call their first Hollywood Film “Part 2″. People would be all like… “Wtf! it’s gotta suck. The first one didn’t even hit the movies.”

Of the 10 or so Thai movies I’ve seen, BANGKOK DANGEROUS ranked among the very top in. There’s only one other Thai movie that I still remember after many years: SUNSET AT CHAOPRAYA
Bangkok Dangerous had all the elements of a good film: choreography; actions; story line/plot; believable characters, from the deaf gun man to the beautiful Thai actress; good amount of light hearted comedy (girl trying to guess what the guy did for a living!) admist huge amount of killing/blood; believability.

The first movie had a perfect lead actor, now Nicolar Cage is far from perfect for this role. MAking the same movie twice, when the first was a great film is all about money.
